| The Nordic conference on Child and Adolescent PsychoanalysStockholm, 7th and 8th of February 2025 Welcome to the 2025 Nordic conference on child and adolescent psychoanalysis that the Swedish psychoanalytic association will organise in Stockholm on Friday February the 7th in the afternoon, and on Saturday February the 8th. On Friday Henrik Lennartsson is going to read a paper on the theme psychoanalytic work with adolescents today: “School refusal – a survival prison”.The meeting is open to all psychoanalysts and candidates in the Nordic countries as well as psychotherapists outside the Swedish society working with children and adolescents. It will offer an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss pertinent theoreti-cal and clinical aspects of our on-going work with children and adolescents as well as to reflect upon how these experiences enrich our work with adults. Psychoanalysts and psychotherapist working with adults only are also most welcome.We start by gathering on Friday afternoon at 5 pm for a welcome drink and snacks. 5:30 pm – 6:30 p.m Henrik Lennartsson has named his paper: “School refusal – a survival prison” , presenting it as “clinical vignettes from working with teenagers with social isolation as their main symptom, and reflections upon factors that I regard as common for the phenomena of “school refusal”.Discussant: Camilla Silfverskiöld.6:30 pm – 7:30 pm Discussion. Code: 1957Hotel: To be arranged individually.Fee: The conference fee is 1 400 SEK. Candidates and senior members are charged 900 SEK. The fee includes copies of case presen-tations, dinner on Friday and coffee and lunch on Saturday. Travel expenses and hotel are not included.Languages: The paper is in Swedish, The discussion and the clinical presentations will be in a Nordic language or in English. Payment: The conference fee is due within 10 days of receiving the invoice, which will be sent via email after registering. Further information can be found in the registration form. Clinical presentation: Two psychoanalytic or psychotherapy sessions with either a small child, a teenager or a young adult (un-der 25) are presented, Preferably the sessions will be consecutive and part of an ongoing treatment. The presenter transcribes the sessions as accurately as possible in the form of a dialogue. Background information (anamnestic data, diagnostics, symptoms) is irrelevant for our way of working, although of interest from different perspectives. Please bring your material when you arrive on Friday and we will make copies of it for the clinical presentation on Saturday.
